Meet Oyinlola Nasirat Tiamiyu @nasirat_oyin – Aspiring Civil Engineer & Sustainability Advocate
This week, we spotlight Oyinlola, a 4th-year civil engineering student at the University of Ibadan with over two years of internship experience. She is passionate about bridging engineering innovation with environmental sustainability, having started her journey in 2019.
Oyinlola has worked on projects ranging from climate conflict and renewable energy to water resources management. She believes that protecting the environment is the foundation for a healthy society and the well-being of future generations.
For her, sustainability isnβt just about policies or big projects; itβs about real people, everyday choices, and turning waste into opportunities. She advocates for encouraging local innovations and showing communities that environmental protection can also improve livelihoods.
