About the Role
An established oil and gas servicing company based in Port Harcourt is hiring a Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Officer to join its operations team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all local and international HSE standards, conducting safety training, identifying workplace risks, and fostering a strong safety culture across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and programs.
- Conduct regular workplace inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
- Ensure full compliance with statutory health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Investigate and report all accidents, incidents, and near-misses; ensure corrective measures are implemented.
- Conduct HSE training and induction programs for new and existing employees.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in HSE roles (preferably in construction, oil & gas, or logistics sectors).
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Relevant HSE certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA are advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and incident reporting systems.
Compensation
- ₦300,000 monthly salary
