About the Opportunity

IAIA invites applications for the Energy for Development Capacity Building Stipend (CBS) Program to support professionals from eligible countries to attend IAIA26, the association’s flagship international conference on impact assessment and sustainable development.

The stipend helps expand national capacity in impact assessment related to the energy and renewable energy sectors by covering key costs associated with in-person participation.


What the Stipend Covers

Selected recipients will receive:

  • IAIA26 conference registration + training course access
  • Three-year IAIA membership
  • Round-trip flights and accommodations
  • Per diem support
  • Visa and travel insurance reimbursement
  • Access to year-round IAIA training courses

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Reside and work in Malawi, Mozambique, Nepal, Nigeria, Tanzania, or Uganda.
  • Hold at least a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Have 2+ years of professional experience in impact assessment (preferably in energy or renewable energy).
  • Be employed by a government agency, university, or civil society organisation.
  • Have employer approval to attend in person.
  • Clearly demonstrate how participation will contribute to capacity building at home.
