About the Role
The Rockefeller Foundation is inviting emerging African leaders to apply for the 2026 Big Bets Fellowship: Africa, a five-month hybrid leadership programme combining virtual sessions and an in-person convening at Bellagio, Italy. The Fellowship supports changemakers working on bold, systemic solutions across social, economic, climate, health, or policy sectors.
What the Fellowship Offers
- Fully funded travel to the in-person convening at Bellagio Center, Italy.
- USD 5,000 stipend (subject to applicable taxes) to support participant involvement.
- Weekly virtual leadership sessions (May–August 2026) + cohort learning, mentorship, and peer networking.
- Access to a global network of innovators, experts, and fellow changemakers to support and amplify your “Big Bet” project.
Who Should Apply
- African leaders (professional, entrepreneurial, or community-based) with 5–15 years of impactful experience.
- Individuals with a bold, systemic “Big Bet” idea, a project with potential for long-term, scalable impact across Africa.
- People with strong regional engagement, proven leadership, and commitment to driving change.
