Job Overview
- The Sustainability Associate will be responsible for implementing and managing sustainability initiatives that minimize the plant’s environmental impact and support corporate sustainability goals.
- This role will involve overseeing waste reduction, energy efficiency, water conservation, and pollution prevention efforts, as well as ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
- The ideal candidate is passionate about environmental stewardship and skilled at driving change within an industrial setting.
Eligibility Criteria
- Understanding/experience in Sustainability Materiality Assessment.
- Minimum of Second class upper Division.
- Must have completed NYSC
- ESG tools and framework.
- Environmental topics such as waste, water, biodiversity/air quality.
- Efficiency and energy audit
- Resource efficiency and circular economy.
- Environmental & Social Impact Assessment.
Skills Requirements:
- Be a self-starter who takes ownership of tasks and proactively seeks out ways to better address sustainability needs.
- Thorough and current knowledge of sustainability practices, and applicable laws and regulations.
- Ability to analyze and understand research and to identify relevant and valuable information.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to create, interpret, and execute a budget.
- Presentation skills required to deliver proposals to varying groups of individuals.
- Be a team player and leader and be committed to achieving common goals.
- With support from team leadership, ability to design and execute a logical phased approach to understand complex issues and recommend insightful and pragmatic solutions.
- Confidence to research and resolve emerging issues including regulations, industry practices, and new technologies.
- Demonstrate strong writing skills and ability to translate recommendations and other ideas effectively and concisely in reports, presentation materials, and other written communications.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills to handle numerous data sources, input, and data gaps concurrently.
