Meet Adekunle Lawal @adekunle_la – Aspiring Climate Researcher & Data Scientist

This week, we spotlight Adekunle Lawal @adekunle_la, a Civil and Environmental Engineering graduate from the University of Lagos. His passion for climate research and data science is timely and inspiring.

Adekunle is a fast learner and future-focused thinker. He explores the intersection of sustainable design and scientific innovation. He develops low-carbon alternatives like rattan-reinforced concrete. He also works with Arup Nigeria on climate adaptation projects. Through these efforts, he builds climate resilience from the grassroots.

To him, the environment is not a problem but a platform for change. It is a space where science meets community. Adekunle champions locally sourced solutions and inclusive development. He believes sustainability must start where people live, work, and dream.
